DAAS is an Intercollegiate Event organized by Nitin Godiwala Jr. College of Commerce & Nava Samaj Mandal Degree College under the umbrella of Nava Samaj Mandal Trust with 14th year theme NISARG – Nurture the Nature from 19 January, 2023 to 21 January, 2023. DAAS (Dance, Acting, Art, Singing) enables youth to self discover their talents to shape their positive attitude in socio-cultural and creative fields.
The First day of DAAS 19th Jan, 2023 was filled with various creative artists in college campus.
Inauguration of the session conducted in the auditorium of NSM. It was started with welcome dance to welcome all the dignitaries and participants in the presence of President Shri Ashok J. Kothari, Secretary Shri Vinay Joshi, Joint Secretary Mr. Dipan Shah, Principal of N.G. Jr College and NSM degree College Dr. Pratibha N. Jha and Principal of NSM School Mrs. Sharda Kunder. Principal felicitated our Guests & Dignitaries.
Introductory speech given by Mrs. Shilpa Mitra followed by various performances by Degree students too. All the days 19th, 20th and 21st the events were divided and conducted well.
On 3rd Day of the event, 21st Jan, 2023 the 4 events – Solo Dance, Solo Singing, Group Dance and Fashion Show were conducted in the college auditorium. These performances were judged by Ms. Rashi (Fashion show), Ms. Sangeeta (Solo singing), Mr. Hemant Raut (Solo Dance & Group Dance).
The Prize Distribution started at 4:30 pm in the presence of dignitaries Mr. Pramod Darolia MD. D.R. Coats Pvt Ltd, Mr. Nilesh Jha Global Head Huntsman India Pvt Ltd, Mr. Pravin Goradia Director D.R. Coats Pvt Ltd , Mr. Vinay Joshi Secretary of NSM Trust.
With Fair judgement by N. G. Jr. College & NSM Degree College DAAS Championship Trophy 2023 was won by D.G. Ruparel College while NSM Degree College and N. G. Jr. College were placed 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
Vote of Thanks was offered by Mrs. Beena lyer, the co-coordinator of NSM Degree College and session concluded with National Anthem.

First intercollegiate sports event held at NSM Premises.
Nava Samaj Mandal Degree college conducted ‘Ashoka Championship’ an intercollegiate Sports Event with collaboration of NG Jr College of Commerce under the guidance of our Principal Madam Dr. Pratibha N Jha , on Wednesday 16.11.2022, Thursday 17.11.2022 & Friday 18.11.2022 i.e. on three consecutive days from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the Sports Event was held at College Ground.
The Sports Event was inaugurated by the Honorable Secretary of Nava Samaj Mandal Trust Shri Vinay Joshi along Trustee Mr. Kishor Khabiya Jain and Dr. Pratibha Jha Principal of NG Jr. College and NSM Degree College. Also, the Principal of NSM School Mrs. Sharda Kunder and dignitaries from various fields were present for this three days event. All these programs were well- supported by the Teaching Staff, Non- Teaching Staff and Ancillary Staff. This sports event was celebrated very beautifully in proper timing and proper discipline.
The Mega Event held on 19th Nov,2022 in the presence of Mr. Ashok J Kothari the President of NSM, Mr. Vinay Joshi Secretary of NSM, Mr. Dipan Shah Jr. Secretary NSM, the Chief Guest Mr. Parag Alawani MLA Vile Parle, Mr. Pirajirao Ramchandra Bhavake retired judge of High Court, Mrs. Vandana Sinha Principal from GPM College, Dr. Jitendra Principal from Amlani College, Dr. Sunder Rajdeep Sir HOD of BAMMC of Mumbai University and many more dignitaries were present for the same.
Prize Distribution Ceremony and the Star Achivers of Championship Trophy announcement was done and the President of NSM College Mr.Ashok J Kothari awarded them the Trophy.
The Event concluded with National Anthem.
