Aim & Vision:
At Nitin Godiwala Junior College, the aim of the library is to provide students with the best possible resources and facilities to enhance their learning experience. The college library is well-maintained and caters to thousands of students, ensuring easy access to a wide range of educational materials.
Library Overview:
The library at Nitin Godiwala Junior College serves as a vast storehouse of knowledge, offering a variety of resources including books, manuscripts, magazines, periodicals, videos, audios, DVDs, and more. It is organized efficiently with bookshelves, ensuring easy access and quick browsing for all students. The library provides an excellent environment for reading, research, and study. The library eliminates the need for students to purchase expensive books, providing them with an affordable alternative and ensuring that no student is deprived of the opportunity to read, regardless of financial circumstances.

Rules & Regulations:
To ensure smooth operation and proper usage of the library, the following rules and regulations must be adhered to by all students and staff:
i) Library Access:
Access to the library is restricted to students and staff of Nitin Godiwala Junior College who
possess a valid identification card issued by the college.
ii) Identification Card:
Every student must carry their college identification card while entering the library. If the ID card is lost, it must be reported to the librarian in writing immediately, and a duplicate card will be issued.
iii) Visitor Register:
Students must sign in the daily visitor register kept at the entrance counter before entering the library.
iv) Library Card Use:
The library card is non-transferable. Any misuse of the card will result in punishment.
Reading Ticket Instructions:
Every student must follow the instructions provided on the reverse side of the reader’s ticket.
v) Baggage:
All bags must be kept in the designated baggage area before entering the library.
vi) Ex-Students:
Ex-students are not entitled to library access unless permitted by the principal in writing.
vii) Prohibited Items :
Smoking, food, and drinks (except water) are strictly prohibited inside the library.
viii) Mobile Phones :
Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited to maintain a peaceful study
environment.
ix) Library Materials:
Library materials must be handled with utmost care. No writing, marking, or damaging any
materials is allowed. Any damage should be immediately reported to the librarian.
x) Home Lending:
One book can be issued for a period of seven days against the library card for home lending.
Book Examination:
Upon receiving a book, students are expected to check it for any existing damage. Any damage
must be reported to the librarian immediately. Failure to do so may result in the student being
held responsible for any damage found later.
